If a state mistreats its citizens, it becomes a global issue, not a domestic matter, says Human Rights Committee head Bıçak.

If a state mistreats its citizens, it becomes a global issue, not a domestic matter, says Human Rights Committee head Bıçak.
No state is able to argue that the mistreatment of its citizens can be described as a domestic matter that no other country can object to, said Prime Ministry Human Rights Committee head Vahit Bıçak.
Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, Bıçak said, "The scope of individual freedoms is continuously expanding, both in terms of legal reforms and their implementation."
Bıçak stated that allegations of unfair trial, violations of personal freedom and ill treatment, violations of the right to life and violations of an act prohibiting discrimination were among the top issues for which complaints were filed with their institution.
